I know it, I know it! It's rank, it's bottomless, it's beyond boring, it's a huge, never-ending pain in the ever-lovin' u-no-what...drain! I know what you're sayin'! I know what you're gonna say--before you EVEN say it! Just hear me out!

I realize this is a stretch....it's more than a stretch....it's a leap into loony-land. But let's face it--it's REALITY. Laundry is my total, inescapable touchstone with reality. It's always there. It's a constant in my life. So why not make the best of it? I know it's weird, but I can see you're sensing the logic here.

Lavender & Linens
Well, now that I've got you in a slightly better mood, let's talk about one of my most favorite sensuously, earthy, romantic topics. Yes, you guessed it! Lavender--and exquisitely sumptuous, vintage, lace-edged linens scented with lavender. Then folded and perched ever so neatly and squarely on birch shelves tied with a sweet, graceful bow. AHHH! Any Victorian woman's dream!
And you thought laundry couldn't be romantic..!! You're so silly! One of these days you'll learn to trust me!
The Linen Closet

No, I don't have a linen closet that looks like this--not by a long shot. But I have promised myself that I will have a linen closet that looks like this--someday.
