Yesterday as I was shuffling around the kitchen fixing up some mint tea for myself and my youngest, she asks me:

5 yo:  "What does 'losing your temper' mean?"

Me:  "It means getting really mad and angry and carrying on in ways we really don't want to be carrying on."

5 yo:  "Well, what does 'temper' mean?"

Me:  "It means getting really mad and angry and carrying on in ways we really don't want to be carrying on." (see how original I am??)

She pauses for a minute, then asks:  "So if you lose your temper, then you're more gooder... right? Because then you don't have a temper anymore."

How does one refute such brilliant 5 yo logic?

Me:  "Yes, I suppose if we all lost our tempers, then we wouldn't have them anymore, would we? And I guess that would make us all gooder, wouldn't it?"

LOVE it! They are so, so very smart aren't they?!
We're still recovering sickies over here...this one has lasted a LONG time! But I'm hoping the end of the crud is in sight! :)

They do have it all figured out, don't they! I LOVED your little Ryan's 'art in his mouth' as well! Priceless! I want art in my mouth, too! LOL!

Great logic - just love the things little ones say! And I just checked out your new shop...LOVE IT! What a great idea. You've put a lot of work into it and it all looks so nice. The widgets loaded fast and I love the Spring colors and pictures you included. I look forward to seeing your store grow with local crafts, classes, etc.... Very nice job and if we're in the market for some 'romantic' stuff I know where to look!
