I love your old-fashioned girls! Maple is such a pretty chicken too! This morning we had our first duck eggs for breakfast and they were really a treat. Happy Fall!
I remember growing up with Grandpa's pet chickens. Henry the Rooster stands out in my memory. He often went on the swing in my brother's arms and seemed quite happy. I can see that Heather is gentle with Maple who seems quite content to nestle in her arms.
