Last night we celebrated a Fall Farm Festive Surprise Party at the Post Farm. And what a great evening was had by all! Don't ask me how Mandy and Sarah managed to pull this off and actually 'surprise' Harlow and Jan for their 35th Anniversary...when....Harlow and Jan had been helping prepare for the party all along! Yep, all under the auspices that this was a 'Girl Party' that they were having. Unbelievable! GO Mandy and Sarah!!! : D

Now just come and see what these sisters did...the music...the decorating...the food...the fun! Here we go...the stage is set...

Errr! We'll stop right there with the music...for now!...I'm saving all that for later. Now let's move on to the decor. You're gonna LOVE this....

Of course there was hot apple cider and homemade pumpkin ice cream, too. I hope this has whet your appetite! More of the festivities to come! : D

Oooh! Good idea!! Ya know, I came across a great site not too long ago about a homestead place where they hold all sorts of classes & demos...the grounds & gardens were beautiful....turns out it was in TX!! I think down near the hill country somewhere. I'll try to find the link. Meanwhile, perhaps you can find something closer to McKinney...there should be something farm-ish around there! It can't ALL be suburbs now...can it???

How very picturebook perfect--the setting, the decorations, the food, -- &, I assurme -- the frolicking. Of course, the daughters had great teachers---but what a lot of work to carry it off. & what great imaginations to fool the honored guests in to thinking they were helping stage things for a different party. And "hats off" to the photographer who captured it so captivatingly to share with us. The "fall feel" of it all comes thru amazingly. along with your succinct comments of description. What pleasure to share it.
