Our girls' little friend, Mattie, has this darling dress that Caitlyn loves to dress up in when we come to play. I've decided that I simply must sew a dress like this one for all our girls...what do you think??

It's a scoop neck with elastic to gather it in, elastic around the sleeves and at the waist. Then a big twirly skirt with a ruffle at the hem. I LOVE it, too! Perhaps with a prairie bonnet and apron to top it off! : D

Wold you believe I HAVE essentially that pattern??!I think it was the one I made for Tina to be flowergirl in. Except this one has a raised waist, but that could be made a bit longer if you wanted it at the natural waist. However, it's only a size 5, but could be cut a bit larger. You'd have the basic shape--& the instructions. Or I could make it, if you sent measurements of current length--back of neck to waist & waist to hemline, plus waist inches, shoulder width from armhole seam to seam & sleeve length inches.

That dress is so becoming. How can someone not be feminine in a dress like that? I can just see your girls arrayed in pretty prairie dresses.
