Over the Fourth of July weekend we were invited over to our friends, the Jenkins, for a cookout...and I showed you Ann's garden...and promised to post about the Flag-Flying Horse Cart. We were just invited over again this next weekend to celebrate Bill's birthday...so here we go...finally!

Picture

The first order of business was for Kathleen and the girls to get Magic all decked out to pull the cart. These boots (the horse's that is) are a really great way to allow your horse to go barefoot...

Picture

They just slip on the hoof then that metal tab in front flips up and clips into place...and Magic has his boots on!

He also got the royal treatment with ribbons in his mane....

and also tied onto his tail...

Hitched up and ready to roll!

And off they go!

Back again and ready for the next crew...and it is quite a crew!

You betcha they can't wait to do it all over again! : D

What wonderful photos of a truly novel horse cart and a fun-filled ride. I like those horse shoes. I'll bet the horse does too! Best of all, I like the photos of two lovely sisters enjoying the ride. It looks like big brother approves, too.

I'm impressed with the hoof boots, for unshod horses, too. Hadn't known they existed. Surely they use them here in TX. Will have to ask the neighbor where the kids are taking lessons. Magic looked very festive--rather like Babycakes does when the girls doll her all up. What a treat to have such a festive opportunity. \ And so Baby has HAD her trailer ride--and it went OK. Hooray! And she now has horse companions!
