Snow Storm 02/23/2009
I think this might officially be called a blizzard...perhaps not. At any rate, it's a BIG snow storm...with howling non-stop winds... After the plow truck came, our drift in front is at least 8 ft. tall now! And little Andrew has been digging snow tunnels...but it's filling up again fast! As you can see, however, the ski troops are not deterred... Yep, Caitlyn's down...but it's intentional this time! They plop down periodically to shovel snow into their mouths! Up again and off they go! While I go in to warm my toes!! Am I the only smart one in this family or what...?? CommentsLynn Tue, 24 Feb 2009 12:36:19 Brrrr!!! Yes, it looks like you all have definitely adapted to the cold weather up there! Wow, look at all that snow! I'm glad you all are having fun in it! It must feel wonderful to come inside and get all cozy after playing out there! Tue, 24 Feb 2009 19:18:38 I remember a storm like that when I was young. We had snow drifts to the roof and walls of snow on both sides of the sidewalk. It was perfect for forts and tunnels. I hope you didn't lose power. It looks like everyone made the most of the huge snowfall. Tue, 24 Feb 2009 19:49:09 I've never SEEN so much snow!!! It really looks cold, but it sure looks like y'all are enjoying it. : ) Mon, 02 Mar 2009 09:50:06 I wonder how many "snow troops" interrupt their skiing to "go down" INTENTIONALLY for snow to EAT as they ski!! so glad to see everyone so snuggly bundled. "Getting ready" was always such a chore---but I'm assuming most of the outfits are self-sufficient , zip in & out. Still there're hats, scarves, mittens, & skis!! And what a LOT of that white stuff. I'd be tempted to dig tunnels, too. Leave a Reply |
