The prairie bonnet...the first of my sewing projects that I've actually finished. Yay!!

And isn't it a cutie...???

And the mop hat I cut out and Mom finished for us while she was still here...

Isn't it precious..??

Serious business with serious bonnets...

Wrapped up for winter babydolls....

Oh, and we mustn't forget puddin's in her bonnet either...

The bonnet is delightful--(as is the young lady under the brim! Aunt Joy was charmed by the kids -- & hats. Wondered where the interest came from--that she'd not seen bonnets in ages.} Looks like an experienced seamstress's work. Coulda fooled me! Anxious to see the little dress./ Loved seeing the craft painting--then the banner painting that was a BIG project of the same sort. Great that you're inspired enough to be teacher & not merely Mom wondering about the mess. The "little Swedes" you had "visiting" for the event looked very professional, answering questions, etc. Man!--that's such great experience. And thanks for the accolades for my little part in the show! /

Hi Deb! I just LOVE the bonnets & hat!!! They are soooo cute and you (and your mom) did an excellent job! Way to go! The girls look so lovely wearing them too!

Just look at those prairie moms all dressed up in their bonnets. What is it that brother's working on? He looks so intent.
Congratulations on the bonnet. It looks professionally done. Too bad they passed out of fashion. I can see the usefulness of a hat that keeps all of your hair neat and shields you from wind and sun. It won't blow off like broad brimmed varieties of sun hats, either. Best of all, it's washable!
